What gym accessories do I need to start with lifting?

If you are focusing on lifting barbells or heavy plates, buy a solid pair of lifting straps or wrist wraps to provide extra support during your lifting. But if you are gonna be focusing on using cable machines for your lifting or strength training, buy a handle, rope and straight bar cable attachment to allows to work with a variety of exercises.

Are Northern cable attachments compatible with other cable machine brands?

All of our cable attachments use standard heavy-duty steel connection rings. This allows you to easily clip directly onto any standard cable machines in the UK.

What are the must-have gym accessories?

Buy weight racks and storage systems to keep your home gym tidy and clutter-free. It is also better if you buy gym accessories like lifting straps, resistance bands, and cable attachments to provide more support, versatility, and progressive overload to your routines. You can also add additional gym support tools such as an ab mat for core workouts, a foam roller for recovery, a squat pad for barbell comfort, and a foam pad for extra cushioning during your full body workouts.

Can I replace free weights with resistance bands?

Resistance bands are not designed to replace your dumbbells or kettlebells, but it is the best gym accessory for adding progressive tension to your movements. The fitness bands are perfect for warming up your joints, accessory work, and finishing off a muscle group at the end of a workout.
