What is the difference between a power rack and a half rack?

A power rack (or a full cage) has four uprights that you step inside to lift, offering maximum safety during your weight lifting with adjustable spotter bars. While a half rack is perfect for smaller spaces has it only have two main uprights and shorter rear columns, saving space while still offering storage and spotter arms.

Are squat racks safe to use alone in a home gym?

When benching or squatting alone, always make sure to set your safety spotter arms or pin-pipe spotters just below the bottom of your movement. If you fail on your lift, you can safely dump the barbell onto the spotter's arms without any risk of pinning yourself under the barbell.

What are the most useful squat rack accessories to add first?

If you want to maximise your strength training options, buy a pair of dip handles and a landmine attachment. A landmine attachment lets you insert an Olympic bar into a pivoting sleeve for rotational core work, rows, and presses. While dip handles (or dip bars) can be used for progressive resistance, using your bodyweight. It builds and strengthens your upper body.

Do I need to bolt my squat rack to the floor?

If you are performing aggressive workouts and planning to add attachments, it is smart move to bolt the half rack to prevent tipping and avoid any accidents during your workouts.
