What are vinyl kettlebells?

Vinyl kettlebells are made of a cast iron core that is coated with a vinyl PVC layer for protection. The vinyl coating prevents damage to your gym floor, reduces noise and adds more corrosion or rust resistance.

Are vinyl kettlebells good for advanced training?

They can be used for some workouts, but for advanced users it is suggested to use cast iron kettlebells (for durability and high-impact exercises) or competition kettlebells (for consistent form and technique work).

Can vinyl kettlebells be dropped?

They are not specially designed for repeated or high impact drops. The vinyl coating offers some protection but continous dropping it may break the coating and break the core inside. For high impact training like Crossfit-style or Hyrox style workouts, buy a cast iron kettlebell or competition kettlebell.

What weight of vinyl kettlebells should I start with?

For men, beginners should start with 8–16 kg vinyl kettlebells, and for women who just started working out, it is 6–12 kg.

Are vinyl kettlebells suitable for outdoor use?

Vinyl kettlebells are designed to be use for indoor or home gyms, but you can also use this outdoor training but you need to avoid rough surfaces like concrete that may break the coating. Avoid leaving the kettlebell weight also in the direct sunlight for a longer time.
