What yoga and Pilates equipment do I need for my home or fitness studio?

For a home studio, buy a high-quality mat as your foundation. For yoga, buy yoga blocks and a yoga strap for modifying poses and safely reaching deeper stretches. To add more resistance to your Pilates, you can add a Pilates ring, neoprene kettlebell, neoprene dumbbell or dumbbells for versatility of your workouts.

What is the main difference between a yoga mat and a Pilates mat?

Yoga mats are thinner mats commonly 4mm to 6mm. It provide a stable foundation for balancing poses and it has a high-traction grip surface to stop your hands from slipping. Cork Blocks are heavier, rock-solid, and eco-friendly. It will not squash under your weight, so this is much better for stability and balance in standing poses.
