What is a neoprene coated cast iron kettlebell?

It is a type of free weight or kettlebell made from a solid piece of iron that has a thick, neoprene coating wrapped around the bottom. The handle is left as bare iron so you can get a smooth grip, while the main ball of the weight is covered with rubber like coating to protect your gym floors. The coating cuts down on the loud clanging noise when you set the weight down, and stops the raw iron underneath from rusting when you sweat on it.

Can I use these neoprene coated kettlebells for outdoor workouts?

Yes, you can use a neoprene coated kettlebell for outdoor. But avoid dropping them directly onto rough concrete, gravel, or tarmac, which may cause tearing of the coating. Don't leave them outside to avoid having the cast-iron handle attract rust.

Will the neoprene coating peel or crack over time?

The thick neoprene skin is tightly bonded to the solid cast iron core. However, if you slam two kettlebells together, drag them across rough concrete, or leave them outside in extreme weather can cause the neoprene coating to scuff or split. To avoid this, use an exercise mat, do not drop these kettlebells so hard, do not use them as overhead drops and always keep them indoors and store them in racks.

Can I use neoprene kettlebells for Pilates routines?

Neoprene kettlebells are the perfect choice for Pilates, particularly for home gyms, because it has a protective, soft-touch coating that reduces noise and prevents damage to floors. They are ideal for adding strength, core stability, and resistance to traditional Pilates movements. You can integrate neoprene kettlebells in these ways to add to your Pilates routine: Weighted Glute Bridges, Weighted Roll-Up, Russian Twists & Oblique Holds, Kettlebell Single-Leg Deadlifts and Mermaid Side Bends.
